A spirit-filled bus transporting a group of students to away football games sounds like a wonderful opportunity to instill school pride in Raytown High School’s students.

Unfortunately, the exclusiveness of only transporting students to away football games has widely been seen as unfair to other sports which leads to a road block in inspiring more pride in Raytown High School’s students.

“Football has been put on a pedestal above all other sports,” sophomore Lillian Rhodes claimed.

It is obvious that in Raytown High School, football is very popular, which has created a problem; multiple students have insisted that due to football’s popularity, it has begun to be considered more important than other sports. One example of this is that football coaches have been known to give extra credit for attending a football game but not a cross country meet or volleyball game.

The students of Raytown High School feel that there is no sport more important than another. Raytown High School must treat all sports as equals and consider opening up the bus to more than just football.
